Tesla CEO Elon Musk in the company's latest earnings call dismissed the idea of hybrids as the future of the auto industry.
Musk acknowledged global pressures on electric vehicles (EVs), with competitors opting for hybrids instead. However, he emphasized Tesla's belief that EVs will "ultimately dominate the market."
The billionaire emphasized the importance of smart car technology, stating that every vehicle must integrate such features "or no one will buy it." He suggested that once the superiority of Tesla's approach becomes apparent, licensing of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology will become essential.
