Billionaire and Tesla Inc. Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk shared on Wednesday that the carmaker will introduce a second-generation Tesla Roadster, aiming to unveil the new design by the end of the year and commence shipping in 2025.

The new electric vehicle will bring two of Musk's companies together, Tesla and SpaceX, with the car capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 miles per hour (mph) in just 1 second, Musk wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. "And that is the least interesting part," he added.

"I think it has a shot at being the most mind-blowing product demo of all time," Musk stressed. "There will never be another car like this, if you could even call it a car," the CEO said.
