Twitter's new CEO Elon Musk could change his stance on working exclusively from the office and allow some employees at the social media company to continue working remotely, the Information reported on Thursday citing an e-mail Musk sent to the staff.
Musk told Twitter employees they can get approval to work from home if their manager "takes responsibility for ensuring that you are making an excellent contribution" but insisted that remote workers will have to meet with colleagues in person "on a reasonable cadence, ideally weekly, but not less than once per month." He added that any manager who "falsely claims that someone reporting to them is doing excellent work " will be "exited from the company."
Earlier this month, Musk informed Twitter staff that the company will end its remote work policy and require all employees to come to the office for a minimum of 40 hours per week.
