North Korea conducted its latest missile test on Sunday from the South Pyeongan Province,Yonhap reported citing South Korean military officials.
"North Korea fired an unidentified projectile from a site this afternoon from the vicinity of Pukchang in Pyeongannam-do (South Pyeongan Province)," South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff stated. According to the South's military, Pyongyang's missile flew about 500 kilometers.
A US official confirmed the launch, adding the test featured a "medium-range ballistic missile."
