North Korea stated on Sunday that during the last 24 hours the country registered 296,180 cases with COVID-19 symptoms, along with 15 recorded fatalities.
The news comes after the nation entered the fourth day of a statewide lockdown regime as Pyongyang tens to prevent the development of the country's first confirmed COVID-19 outbreak.
Yesterday, North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong-un stated that the country is in "great turmoil" due to the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 virus.
