North Korea unveiled its new battle tanks during the country's military training exercise attended by North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un, KCNA reported on Thursday.
Kim expressed his satisfaction with the tanks after he witnessed the exercise, calling them the "most powerful tanks in the world," and stressing the need for "intensive exercises simulating an actual war." The news agency provided no details concerning the capabilities of the tanks, offering only vague descriptions, by reporting that the tanks demonstrated "powerful strikes" that broke through "strong defense lines" whilst exhibiting "high maneuverability."
The country unveiled the tanks during the annual military exercise between South Korea and the United States, dubbed Freedom Shield, which is set to end on Thursday.
