Democratic nominee in the 2020 United States elections Joe Biden has taken the lead over President Donald Trump in Georgia, CNN, Fox News, and Decision Desk reported on Friday.
Biden currently counts with 49.39.% of the ballots or 2,449,371, against Trump's 49.37% or 2,448,454, creating a margin of 917. Slightly more than 99% of the total votes cast have been counted so far.
Georgia has been widely cited as one of the commonwealths that will determine who the next president of the country is going to be. Earlier, the Peach State rejected sitting President Trump's campaign's lawsuit filed against it over alleged irregularities in the counting of the votes.
