NATO condemns Russia, N. Korea for expanding Ukraine war

NATO member countries condemned in a joint statement on Friday the leaders of Russia and North Korea for "dangerously" expanding the war in Ukraine, denouncing the latter country for its military support to Moscow.

"The deepening military cooperation between Russia and the DPRK deeply impacts Euro-Atlantic security, with implications also for the Indo-Pacific," the alliance stated. NATO's statement was backed by Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, and Ukraine.

NATO reiterated its determination to help Kiev boost its military capabilities aimed at stopping Russian attacks.
