Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog condemned the violence caused by masked Israeli settlers in the West Bank village of Jit, found east of Qalqilya.

Dozens of settlers stormed the village, killing one Palestinian and seriously wounding another, according to Thursday's statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, prompting both Netanyahu and Herzog to denounce the incident. "Those who fight terrorism are the IDF and the security forces, and no one else," Netanyahu stressed on X, promising that those "responsible for any criminal act will be caught and prosecuted."

Meanwhile, Herzog "strongly" condemned the Israeli riot that erupted in the village, blaming an "extreme minority" for the incident. He urged law enforcement officials to "act immediately against this dangerous phenomenon and bring the lawbreakers to justice."
