As stated in his post on X, which contained a screenshot of a report saying that Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas is prepared to take governance of the Gaza Strip, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu claimed that "as long as I am the Prime Minister of Israel, this will not happen."

He further stated that following the elimination of Hamas, Gaza will not be ruled by those who "supported" and "financed" terrorism, thus accusing Abbas of providing such support.

"Those who educate their children in the ways of terrorism, and support terrorist families will not be able to rule Gaza," Netanyahu concluded.
