Netanyahu orders army to be ready if ceasefire deal is breached

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Thursday that he has instructed Israeli troops to prepare for "intense fighting" in Lebanon, should the ceasefire agreement be violated.

"I never claimed that the agreement with Lebanon marks the end of the war," Netanyahu told Israeli Channel 14, adding that the current ceasefire could only be "brief."

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Armed Forces accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement, which both parties had initially agreed to, on several occasions over the past day.
