Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (pictured) said in an interview with ABC News on Sunday that his country is "working out a detailed plan" to eradicate the remaining Hamas battalions from southern Gaza's Rafah, but they will provide "safe passage" for civilians to leave the area.
"We're going to do it while providing safe passage for the civilian population so they can leave," Netanyahu said."This is part of our war effort to get civilians out of harm's way. It's part of Hamas' effort to keep them in harm's way."
The impending targeting of Rafah by Israeli forces has raised concerns among various nations and the United Nations regarding the welfare and relocation options available for the civilian population.
