United Kingdom's Health Secretary Matt Hancock said on Sunday that the new coronavirus strain found in the southeast of England is "out of control." In an interview with Sky, Hancock urged reducing social contact in order to curb the spread of the virus "because this is deadly serious."
Hancock also slammed people trying to leave London before it got upgraded to tier 4 as "totally irresponsible behavior." He added that "everybody, particularly people in tier 4 areas, needs to behave as if they might well have the virus - that is the only way we are going to get it under control."
