New Orleans incident death toll up to 10

NOLA Ready, New Orleans' emergency preparedness agency, said on Wednesday in its latest update that the incident taking place on Bourbon Street left 10 individuals dead, while 30 were injured.

"The 8th District is currently working a mass casualty incident involving a vehicle that drove into a large crowd on Canal and Bourbon Street ... Public safety partners are responding on the scene," NOLA commented.

Witnesses on the spot told CBS News earlier that the driver of a pickup truck, who jammed into the crowd, got out of the vehicle and started exchanging fire with the police.
