OpenAI's Altman offers Musk $9.74 billion to buy X

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman took to X on Monday to respond to Tesla CEO Elon Musk's proposal to purchase the AI startup by offering a counter-proposal to acquire X Corp.

"No thank you but we will buy twitter for $9.74 billion if you want," Altman posted on the social media platform.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal disclosed that Elon Musk was spearheading a group of investors aiming to acquire the AI company with a bid valued at $97.4 billion.
