US markets jumped more than 250 points on Wednesday following the release of the latest US inflation report. The results came in better than expected.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for March rose by 5% on a yearly basis, while the core CPI advanced by 5.6%.
The Dow Jones gained 0.75% or 252 points at 8:35 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 added 1.30%, and the S&P 500 rose 0.96%. Two minutes later, the euro improved by 0.68% against the dollar selling for $1.09862.
