Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, also known as MbS, discussed on Thursday Western sanctions against Moscow as well as the oil production deal between the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its partners.
In light of sanctions imposed against his country, Putin emphasized that politicizing the issues of global energy supply is unacceptable, according to the Kremlin. "Russia and Saudi Arabia will continue to coordinate their approaches" within the OPEC+ framework, Moscow underlined.
Earlier in the day, MbS told United States media outlet The Atlantic that he does not "care" if US President Joe Biden misunderstands something about him, adding that it's up to Biden "to think about the interests" of his own country. "We don't have the right to lecture you in America. The same goes the other way. You don't have the right to interfere in our interior issues," the Saudi crown prince added.
