Russian President Vladimir Putin met with North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia's far eastern Amur region for a highly anticipated meeting, RIA news agency reported.
The North Korean leader arrived at the train station of the cosmodrome, where he was met by an honor guard and Russian officials. He thanked Putin for the invitation and for meeting with him for talks despite having a busy schedule, according to TASS.
Hours ahead of the meeting, Pyongyang was accused of launching ballistic missiles toward the East Sea.
