European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council member and Bank of France Governor Francois Villeroy de Galhau (pictured) noted on Wednesday that the country should not face a recession this year.
By 2024, the inflation rate should land below 2% in France and unemployment will remain "historically low," he told RTL France radio.
However, purchasing power is expected to fall by 1% in 2022, Villeroy de Galhau warned.
