Russian state oil company Rosneft is close to clinching long-term deals to sell significant oil supplies, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The potential buyers are trading companies that market the commodity to end users in Russia's most important markets, such as Turkey, India, and China. Moreover, the deal could be one of Rosneft's largest in recent years, affecting significant parts of the company's production.
The exact volume of crude and products to be awarded in the tender is unknown. Some of the people consulted say that the sale could be completed in the next few days.
