Rubio, Merz talk US-German relations, Ukraine

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Germany's Chancellor Friedrich Merz discussed the "vitality" of the bilateral relationship between their respective countries during a call, according to the US State Department.

The two talked about the importance of cooperation in order to advance "the many shared interests" between the US and Germany. They also touched upon Ukraine and discussed their shared goal of ending the war, according to the readout.
