Russian and Belarus defense ministries signed an agreement on Thursday to enable the deployment of Moscow's tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.
According to a report by Russian media TASS, Minsk expressed interest in further developing strategic relations with Moscow in the military sector.
Belarusian troops began receiving nuclear weapons training in Russia in late April, a month after Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed Moscow's plans to store tactical nuclear arms in the neighboring allied country.
