Russia blocks Instagram

Meta Platforms Inc.'s Instagram app has been restricted across multiple providers in Russia, according to NetBlocks.

The ban which seemingly went into effect is in line with last week's announcement by Russia's communication watchdog Roskomnadzor.

The move comes after the company's Facebook platform was restricted last week when Moscow began recognizing Meta as an extremist organization.
