The Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday announced that it successfully foiled Ukraine's attack against the Crimean peninsula overnight.
According to the ministry, 28 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were used in the attempted attack, but the Russian military managed to neutralize the threat. Seventeen of the drones were destroyed by air defense systems, while the remaining 11 were suppressed using electronic warfare methods.
The attempted attack comes after Ukraine admitted to attacking the Kerch Bridge, which connects the Crimean peninsula with Russia, overnight on Sunday.
