Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Russian State Duma Andrey Kartapolov said on Wednesday that the Ukraine regime shot down the IL-76 plane with three missiles.

"Today the Ukrainian criminal fascist regime has committed yet another bloody crime that defies any military logic at all ... The Ukrainian leadership was well aware of the upcoming exchange and was informed about how the prisoners would be delivered. But the IL-76 plane was shot down by three missiles of either Patriot or German-made IRIS-T surface-to-air missile system, experts will figure it out," Kartapolov explained.

Earlier, the country's State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin stated that they will prepare an appeal to the United States and Germany to find out what missiles could have caused the crash.
