The Russian government officially announced on Thursday a ban on the country's gasoline exports between March 1 and August 31 in an effort to maintain stability in the domestic market amid the spring farming season.

"The ban will not apply, inter alia, to supplies under international intergovernmental agreements, including agreements with member states of the EAEU [Eurasian Economic Union], to fuel exported by citizens for personal use, as well as to fuel exported to provide international humanitarian assistance," the government highlighted in a post on Telegram.

The decision was previously made public by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
