Russia will suspend travel from Hong Kong and several of southern African nations in an attempt to stop the spread of the new COVID-19 variant. Foreign nationals will not be able to travel to Russia from South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Madagascar, Eswatini, and Tanzania.
The measure comes into force on November 28 at midnight local time. A number of countries have introduced similar restrictions, while the United States decided to wait for more information before making a decision.
