Russia 'will not abandon' Cuba on fuel, grain

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky promised that Russia will support Cuba in the matters of fuel and grain. A delegation of Russian lawmakers is currently visiting Cuba, which has historically been aligned with Moscow and whose government backs Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Slutsky said Russia "will not abandon" Cuba when it comes to fuel, grain, and other imports that it "needs most seriously today." He also said the two countries should step up humanitarian cooperation.
