Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov (pictured) said Tuesday that Moscow will need to take "adequate countermeasures, including asymmetric ones," due to the increasing involvement of the United States and Europe "in the conflict with Ukraine."
"It is obvious that a direct clash with the United States and NATO is not in Russia's interests. We warn and hope that Washington and other Western capitals are aware of the danger of uncontrolled escalation," Ryabkov told Ria news.
Moreover, Ryabkov added that Moscow is concerned about the "incessant large-scale assistance" Kiev is receiving. His remarks come after United States President Joe Biden said Washington will supply Ukraine with advanced air defense systems.
