Saudi Arabia's ammunition and missile defense supply is getting lower amid constant fighting with the Yemen-based Houthis and has asked the United States and other Gulf and European allies for a resupply.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that the country is running out of Patriot surface-to-air missile systems it uses to defend itself from weekly missile attacks, with officials labeling the supplies in the report as "dangerously low."
US officials are reportedly in favor of granting the request for aid, but Saudi Arabia still seems to be worried that it may be too late and that critical oil infrastructure and significant loss of life could happen due to sustained attacks.
