South Korea's main opposition Democratic Party (DP) vowed Saturday to keep pushing for President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment despite a recent failed attempt.

DP spokesperson Yoon Jong-kun announced plans to break up special parliamentary sessions weekly and reintroduce impeachment motions in plenary sessions, with the next impeachment motion expected next Wednesday.

This approach seeks to bypass a rule prohibiting the same bill from being reintroduced during a single session.
