Saudi foreign minister insists on solving issue of Palestine

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-saud (pictured) stressed that the country's ties with Israel cannot normalize without addressing the Palestinian issue.

In an interview with CNN, which aired on Sunday, the foreign minister stated that a credible and irreversible Palestinian state is essential for stability and regional benefit. "That's the only way we're going to get the benefit. So, yes, because we need stability and only stability will come through the resolving the Palestinian issue,'' he said.

The minister highlighted Saudi Arabia's focus on de-escalating the conflict in Gaza and preventing civilian casualties, condemning Israel's actions as "unnecessary" and "unacceptable."
