Talks between European Union member states on the bloc's €750 billion coronavirus recovery fund may take longer than usual, German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz said on Friday.

However, Scholz expressed hope that a compromise would be reached and that funds would be available quickly.

Earlier, Scholz commented that he thinks Germany could be out of the coronavirus economic crisis by the beginning of 2022.
