Scholz: Germany sending all arms that it can to Ukraine

GERMAN CHANCELLOR OLAF SCHOLZ

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz told the lawmakers in the German parliament, the Bundestag, that all the arms that Germany can spare to send to Ukraine, will be delivered to the latter.

"Everything that can be delivered will be delivered," underscored Scholz adding that the German federal government will continue supplying Ukraine with weapons. However, the German chancellor highlighted that "we will make sure that the NATO partners do not become the parties to the war."

Scholz reiterated that sanctions against Russia will be enhanced, as the "fifth package [of measures] is being discussed." He added that Germany "will reorganize the import structures for coal, oil and gas in such a way that we will no longer be dependent on Russian imports in the long run. We will do this with unprecedented speed."
