The Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine could hold a slight edge over mRNA shots when it comes to its ability to prevent infection with the Omicron variant, Russian scientist Ancha Baranova claimed.
In an interview with TASS, the professor at George Mason University explained that "adenovirus vaccines, in principle, create a wider range of immune responses than mRNA vaccines."
She also noted that the data to be obtained in the announced study by Pfizer Inc. will most likely be relevant for Sputnik V.
