DEATH TOLL IN SUDAN RISES TO 528 WITH 4,599 INJURED

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) agreed "in principle" to a seven-day ceasefire, South Sudan's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

The ministry added the warring parties also agreed to hold peace talks "at an agreed venue of their choice." However, the location and negotiators are yet to be chosen and the SAF and RSF are yet to confirm the ceasefire.
