The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States shared in a joint statement that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have agreed to implement another period of ceasefire with a duration of 24 hours, starting June 10, 6 am Khartoum time.
During the ceasefire, the two sides pledged to refrain from "prohibited movements, attacks, use of aircraft or drones, aerial bombardment, artillery strikes, reinforcement of positions and resupply of forces," while allowing the delivery of humanitarian aid to be carried out uninterruptedly, it was written in the statement.
Both the Saudis and the Americans, as the facilitators, said that they "share the frustration of the Sudanese people about the uneven implementation of previous ceasefires." The two countries mentioned that should the ceasefire be broken yet again they will be pushed to "consider adjourning the Jeddah talks."
