White House reported that its National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah.
According to an official statement, Sullivan discussed efforts to increase the flow of humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians in Gaza, adding that the two sides talked about measures to promote stability in the West Bank. The statement concluded by saying that Sullivan reiterated President Biden's longstanding vision for a path to a two-state solution "that provides for equal measures of justice, freedom, and dignity for Israelis and Palestinians alike."
Earlier, it was reported that Abbas explained to Sullivan that the Gaza Strip is an "integral part" of the Palestinian state, noting that any attempt to cut off any part of it is unacceptable.
