Switzerland's trade surplus came in at 4.1 billion Swiss francs in July, the country's Federal Customs Administration (BAZG) revealed in a report published on Tuesday.
Month on month, exports fell 2.7% in nominal terms to 22.5 billion Swiss francs and imports gained 0.3% to 18.3 billion Swiss francs.
Exports to North America climbed by 1.7% and those to the United States by 1.8%. Deliveries to Europe dropped by 4.6%, while in Asia they decreased by 3.7%. Imports from North America soared by 11.9%, from the United States by 14.0%, and those from Asia increased by 0.6%. Meanwhile, imports from Europe dropped by 3.1%.
