The unemployment rate in Switzerland clocked in at 2.4% in March, according to a report published on Monday by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The figure remained unchanged compared to the February reading.
The number of unemployed people in Switzerland was 108,593 in March, falling by 3,286 people from the month before. On an annual basis, the rate jumped 17.1%. The youth unemployment rate slowed by 6.0% compared to the previous month to land at 9,505 people.
In March, the number of available jobs in Switzerland was registered at 42,413, sliding by 943 on a monthly basis.
