Negotiations between delegations from Russia and Ukraine have ended, Russian media reported. The two sides held talks on the Ukraine-Belarus border amid ongoing fighting on the Ukrainian territory and will now return to their respective capitals for consultations "before a second round in the coming days."
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin insisted Ukraine must agree to remain neutral and recognize Russian sovereignty over Crimea. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the European Union to fast-track his country's membership.
