Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Tuesday that there is a "positive trend" in discussions on the creation of the security zone around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
"In cooperation with Rosatom and other relevant departments, we continue to stay in contact with the IAEA Secretariat," Ryabkov explained. Regarding the possibility of IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi visiting Moscow, Ryabkov noted that dates could be agreed upon if Russia's requirements related to the plant are "taken into account."
Russian officials previously underlined that all issues in relation to the security zone around the plant are directly dealt with by the head of Rosatom, Alexei Likhachev.
