Tesla surges to 7-week high on charging deal with Ford

Tesla Inc. shares hit a seven-week high on Friday following the partnership announcement with Ford Motor Company, which will allow owners of Ford electric vehicles to utilize its EV Superchargers across the United States and Canada beginning next week.

Jim Farley, the CEO of Ford, lauded the collaboration and emphasized that it will create the "best network" of fast charging stations in the country.

Tesla's stock surged to 5.53%, selling $194.6313 apiece at 11:58 am ET.
