At least 6 people were killed and dozens injured after a passenger train collided with a freight train in northern Greece early on Wednesday.
The collision occurred close to Evangelismos, a town in the Tempi region, around 380 kilometers northwest of Athens. As a result of the accident numerous train cars were derailed and at least three caught fire.
Rescue work is ongoing and several hospitals in the adjacent city of Larissa have been put on emergency duty, according to local authorities.
