United States President Donald Trump made a clarification on Thursday with regard to the implementation of planned global tariffs.
In a post on Truth Social, he mentioned that tariffs to be implemented on Canada and Mexico will go into effect on March 4th as previously scheduled. "China will likewise be charged an additional 10% Tariff on that date," he added.
Meanwhile, the "April Second Reciprocal Tariff date will remain in full force and effect," the US head of state further commented. The confusion came as yesterday, it was said that Canada and Mexico tariffs could be imposed on April 2nd, while a senior White House official claimed that further tariff policy would be decided on after a study on the matter is released on April 1st.
