Trump considers reducing China tariffs to aid TikTok sale

United States President Donald Trump told reporters he would consider giving China "a little reduction in tariffs" in exchange for Beijing agreeing to the sale of the social media platform TikTok.

Trump suggested he would "maybe" give China a "little reduction in tariffs or something to get it done," though, while he said TikTok was "big," he considered "every point in tariffs" to be worth more than the social media platform.

Additionally, the president stated that they are "going to have a form of a deal," adding that "if it's not finished, it's not a big deal." Trump said that he would extend the deadline to sell TikTok if a deal is not reached by April 5.
