United States President Donald Trump's administration is likely to invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, which enables the head of state to authorize the arrest, relocation, or deportation of any male over the age of 14 originally from another country deemed an enemy in wartime, CNN reported on Thursday.
According to people familiar with the matter, the decision could be announced as early as Friday, depending on when the administration agrees on all the details.
Earlier, it was reported that Trump could invoke the aforementioned law primarily to target the members of Tren de Aragua (TDA), a crime group from Venezuela.
