United States President Donald Trump commented on Monday that the tariffs on imported pharmaceutical products are coming in "not too distant future."

"We don't make our own drugs, our own pharmaceuticals. The drug companies are in Ireland. They are in lots of other places, [including] China. All I have to do is impose a tariff ... The higher the tariff, the faster they come," he said while talking with journalists at the White House.

Trump hinted that this tariff could potentially go in line with the tariffs on cars and aluminum, which are at 25%.
