United States President Donald Trump signed on Thursday an executive order targeting the elimination of the country's Department of Education.
"Everyone knows it's right… We're not doing well with the world of education," Trump stated during a speech. While the country spends more money on education than any other, "we rank near the bottom of the list in terms of success," he commented.
He insisted that the department is doing the country "no good," and added that it would be shut down "as quickly as possible."
