Former United States President Donald Trump was hit with a gag order related to the New York hush money case on Tuesday, a court document showed.
Judge Juan Merchan said that Trump has to refrain from making any public statements about "known or reasonably foreseeable witnesses" in this case, as well as about "counsel in the case other than the District Attorney, members of the court's staff and the District Attorney's staff, or the family members of any counsel or staff member," should those comments be made with intent to "materially interfere with counsel or staff's work in this criminal case."
The ex-head of state was also banned from making public statements about jurors related to the case.
